    We had a great time crunching apples in Washington County! Above is a picture of the staff and buidling partners, Family & Children First, staff. We are crunching Suncrisp apples from Hidden Hills Orchard.

    It is Great Lakes Apple Crunch Time in Washington County, Ohio!!

    Ohio State University Extension of Washington County is joining schools, preschools, colleges and individuals across the Great Lakes states in celebrating National Farm to School Month by crunching into locally grown apples in celebration of Food Day on Thursday, October 10th at NOON local time for the annual Great Lakes Apple Crunch!

    On July 16, the Ohio Department of Agriculture (ODA), in coordination with the USDA Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service (USDA-APHIS) issued a press release indicating that sudden oak death caused by Phytophthora ramorum was detected on rhododendron and lilac plants shipped to Wal-Mart and Rural King stores throughout the state.
