The OSU Extension Office reopened to the public on January 19. The office located in Marietta at 202 Davis Ave is open with limited staffing Monday thru Friday 8:00 am to 4:30. At this time appointments are required. Program staff are available on the following days: Agriculture & Natural Resources – Monday & Friday; 4-H Youth Development – Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday; and Family & Consumer Sciences days vary from week to week.

People who regularly practice gratitude by taking time to notice and reflect upon the things they're thankful for experience more positive emotions, feel more alive, sleep better, express more compassion and kindness, and even have stronger immune systems.
Despite the challenges we have all faced this year, there is much for which we can be thankful. Take time to express gratitude and increase youir happiness.

Take a Break! with the Live Healthy Live Well Team for our Fall Email Wellness Challenge. Two weekly email messages will be sent to you from your local OSU Extension Professional. We will review breaking the ice, breaking free, technology breaks, and rest breaks, just to name a few.

The Bull's-Eye 4-H Club will NOT hold its 2020 Fall Session due to risks associated with COVID-19 and the coronavirus pandemic. We’re hopeful the 2021 Winter Session can be held to teach youngsters about the safe and responsible use of firearms/archery equipment and living history skills. Please continue to follow recommended best practices for healthy habits and comply with social distancing requirements to keep our communities healthy.

The USDA Summer Food Service Program (SFSP) was established to fill the gap when children lose access to meals when schools are closed. Most often this occurs during summer vacation. However, during school closures related to the pandemic, meals are also being made available. You have the opportunity to supplement the food you have at home with meals and snacks for your children from local schools and community organizations.

Virtual Livestock Quality Assurance Training Approved for 2020 - One more training date
Quality Assurance Training is still mandatory for 2020 for all youth taking market livestock and lactating dairy cattle/goat projects in order to be eligible to participate in junior fair events, shows and sales at the fairs. Parents are encouraged to attend the training with their child.

4-H Camp Hervida needs your help to fund a cabin replacement project. Cabin #8 was closed in 2019 due to an unstable foundation, sloping floor and mold caused by excessive moisture. The plan is to build a new 20' X 24' cabin on the same location. The new cabin will include a ramp for handicap accessibility.

Per the governor's orders and the Ohio State University's directives, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, we have cancelled the April 8, 2020, Successful Co-Parenting class.
At this point, the May 11th class is only postponed - with a date to be determined.
The court has been notified of our change in classes.
