Washington County Master Gardener Volunteers presenting Homegrown Harvest Horticulture Series

Do you have an interest in how to prepare and preserve your garden’s harvest?  Do you want your garden to be in tip top shape next spring?  And, how about locating and identifying all of those amazing wild mushrooms in our local area?  The Homegrown Harvest Horticulture series will help you to accomplish these tasks as we venture into fall with our seasoned team of experts. The cost for each class will vary. Series Information:

1. August 28th @ 6:30 pm - Cooking with Your Harvest with Award winning Chef, Tom Hickey, at The Lafayette Hotel– Rufus Putnam Room. Ingredients provided. New recipes using home grown produce. Limit 25 - $10.

2. October 6th-  Mushroom Walk and Workshop with Curtis Young, Associate Professor, OSU Extension ANR Educator.Takes place at Camp Hervida in Waterford. 9 am to 3:30 pm. Lunch provided. Classroom  instruction and then hiking. Rain or shine. Limit 30 - $10.

3. October 23rd @ 6:30 pm to 8 pm-Winterizing Your Garden at Jeremiah’s Coffee House with Jim Gottfried, Landscape Architect, from Greenleaf Landscapes and Marcus McCartney, OSU Extension ANR Educator. Limit 35 - FREE
