    Garden Road Show 40 Join the Washington County Master Gardener Volunteers for a bus trip to Wooster, Ohio, to tour Secrest Arboretum and Buchwalters Greenhouse. Lunch will be provided.     Certification and Recertification Training Beef Quality Assurance (BQA) certification programs are used to validate an individual's knowledge, skills and abilities in cattle production. A multitude of topics including, carcass quality, injection protocol, and animal handling will be covered.  This program offers producers the opportunity to become BQA certified or  renew their certification. Certification cycle is 3 years. This training is $10.00 per person.

    Anyone interested in pasture management and forage production is welcome to join the 3 part course. Those new to livestock and hay production are encouraged to join!  Classes will take place at following days, times, and locations: Part 1:  Thursday, April 9, 2026 from 6-9pm, at the OSU Extension Office Part 2:  Thursday, April 16, 2026 from 6-9pm, at the OSU extension Office Part 3:  Saturday, April 25, 2026 from 10am-2pm, at Lower Salem Farm Pre-registration is required.  Space is LIMITED to the first 20 applicants!

Learn how to have the crucial conversations about the future of your farm over this two-day workshop. Plan to attend both sessions - Part 1, March 3rd and Part 2, March 17th. Both sessions are 6-9pm.
