Vegetable Gardening & Food Preservation

OSU Extension can help you and your family during the 2008 growing season.

Free Food Preservation Class
 
On Wednesday, August 6, 5:30pm Katharine Shumaker, MS, RD, LD will present a three hour class which includes a hands-on session of canning tomatoes in a boiling water bath. If time permits, a hands-on pressure canning session of green beans will follow.

Katharine is an Extension Educator, Family and Consumer Sciences, with Ohio State University Extension in Holmes County.
 
We will also do safety checks and pressure canner testing for those people who bring their canners.
 
This class had previously been scheduled for July 23. Please call 740-376-7431 to pre-register for this free class at Ohio State University Extension on Davis Avenue, Marietta.
