Expanded Food and Nutrition Education Program
The Expanded Food and Nutrition Education Program is a nutrition educaton program that targets low income homemakers/individuals with children from birth to 18 years of age and who are responsible for planning and preparing the family's food. Participants learn how to cook tasty, nutritious food and save money, too.
Karen Martindell, Washington County's EFNEP Program Assistant, will work to recruit participants, locate class sites and schedule classes. The curriculum is Eating Smart, Being Active and is offered free of charge. A minimum of eight classes are scheduled at the convenience of the participants over an eight to twelve week period.
