Endowment Information
There is great food, cash drawings, a live auction, and a fun-filled evening planned at the Washington County Annual 4-H Endowment Dinner/Auction on April 5, 2008. The annual event will be held at the Washington County Junior Fair Building at the Washington County Fair Grounds. The menu consists of a choice of grilled New York Strip Steak or chicken breast, baked potatoes, green beans, salad, rolls and desserts, and beverages.
Silent Auction & Country Store start at 5:15 pm, dinner is at 6:30 pm, and the live auction begins at 8:30 pm. Just a few of the items up for live auction are a Henry “Golden Boy” .22 magnum firearm with laser-engraved logo, Ruger MKIII KP512 .22 pistol, Savage Mako Shark .17 HMR Bolt Action, Ruger 1022 w/Scope (Camouflage Package), Remington 870 12-Guage, 2008 Ohio State University football tickets, Cleveland Indians’ tickets, 4-H Endowment Fenton lamp, Lee Middleton Dolls - Little Gentleman, Butterfly Dreamer, Tiny Cheer and Silver elegance with tea set, picnic table, Longaberger basket, Thomas Stahl print, gift baskets, and much, much more!! There will also be a country store, silent auction, and cash drawings throughout the evening. Truly, there is something for everyone and fun for all!! Doug Hess, Clear Channel Mid-Ohio Valley Radio, will be the emcee for the evening and Keelan McLeish, McLeish Auction Service, will conduct the live auction.
The proceeds from this evening will be used to fund scholarships, leadership training, educational programming, and citizenship training for the 4-H Youth in Washington County. How can you help? By donating tax deductible items for the auctions and country store and/or money for cash drawings, you will be helping to create the leaders of tomorrow. Pick up of donated items/money can be arranged. A list of donors will be printed in a dinner program and announced during the dinner and auction.
You can also lend your support by attending the evening’s dinner and festivities. The purchase of a $20 adult meal ticket not only entitles you to enjoy a steak grilled to perfection, but it automatically enters you into the cash drawings and the live auction. Youth tickets are available for a $10 steak/chicken dinner.
